Net Scrubbie Dots Tutorial

Okay here is a tutorial but not the one I thought I was going to do.
Today I woke up with the urge to learn something new... My friend Marie at Permission to Unwind has a great tutorial for yarn pot scrubbers, but when I tried to make them, I failed miserably... why you ask? It had nothing to do with the tuto and everything to do with the fact that I am clueless when it comes to fiber art lingo.
After several videos on Youtube, I had figured out my own way to make them using... NETTING!!! Why? well because it’s scratchy and I have had one for several years that someone gave me. I have poured over it trying to figure out what it was made of. I knew it had to be some repurposed fiber simply because of the color... flesh. I knew that no one would actually buy that color, so when I was speaking to Marie the other evening, she mentioned Tulle as it’s possible makeup, upon investigation it was in fact something like that. But with more info, I discovered netting, heavy tulle in my line of thinking.
So here is my absolute beginner version of how to make scrubbie dots. I made this because I could not follow along with the lightening quick crocheters I tried to follow on Youtube. I paused one video at least 50 times to watch her hands in slow mo...
I say in the video that you need 7 yards, but it has turned out with mine and the size of my stitches to only need 5 1/2 yard strips per scrubbie, then you do not need to tie pieces together to finish. This amount will make approximately 15.
I don’t know if my internet connection is slow today or if Youtube is, but let the video load for a few seconds so that it doesn’t lag... that drives me crazy when I’m watching videos... :)
Thanks for reading Bee Wise Bags!
