Autumn Wreath & Garland
Here is an easy tutorial for making autumn leaf garlands and wreaths.
Step One:
Supplies:
•Tape: any works but floral tape is best.
•Heavy Twine for Garland: I used macrame rope
•A Wreath Ring or Quilting Hoop for Wreath: I reuse metal rings from Christmas wreaths and huge quilting hoops for mine.
•Lots of Leaves: Make sure you leaves have a stem, this allows you to easily tape the bunches together.
Step Two: Start by taping several leaves together into small bunches - 5 to 8 leaves are good.
Step Three: Unwind some of the twine and start taping the bunches of leaves to the twine, keep moving toward the spool until you have the length that you desire. If you are using a hoop or ring, just move around the circle or oval until completely full.
Remember to space them far enough apart but not so far that you can see the tape.
Enjoy the rich warm colors of the season!!
